Practice Manager - Te Atatū Health
Born in England, Lorraine moved to New Zealand in 2017. With a background in private healthcare, she has worked in respiratory, haematology, and cosmetic medicine. She enjoys making medical care as smooth and stress-free as possible for patients, and in her free time, she and her family love exploring their new home.

Jeremya Opazo-Gomez
Practice Manager - Hobsonville Health
Jeremya brings a strong customer service background, having previously worked as an international flight attendant. She enjoys the fast-paced environment of frontline healthcare and is passionate about providing an excellent patient experience. Outside work, she spends time with family and friends.

Karleen has been with Te Atatu Health since its inception, bringing experience from the education sector. Her energetic, organised, and proactive approach makes her a valued member of the team.

Emma joined Te Atatu Health in 2024. A West Auckland local, she is friendly and approachable, with extensive experience in customer service. Outside work, she enjoys boating and spending time with her family.

Gillian joined our team in 2026 after previously working at Hobsonville Medical. She brings over 40 years’ experience in the medical sector, including seven years as a medic in the Air Force. Outside of work, Gillian enjoys being a grandma, spending time with family, and is a proud cat-lover with two Burmese cats

Megan brings over 30 years’ experience in the health sector and has spent the past five years as a receptionist at Hobsonville Medical Centre. She has also volunteered at Starship Hospital with Radio Lollipop. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, gardening, and golfing.

A former Obstetrics and Gynaecology registrar at Middlemore, she is passionate about collaborative care and women’s health. She holds a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and plans further training in family planning and sexual health. Outside work, she enjoys the gym, family time, and socialising over a glass of wine.

Dr Chris Wong

Availability: Tues (all day), Wed (all day), Fri (all day)Dr Christopher Wong, from Auckland’s Eastern Suburbs, trained at the University of Auckland and has practised as a GP on the North Shore and South Island’s West Coast. After two years teaching, he returned to medicine to spend more time with his young family. Based on the North Shore, he enjoys running, Aussie Rules, and time with his wife and son, and values meeting patients from all backgrounds.

I’ve practised in West Auckland for 28 years, caring for patients across all life stages, and now enjoy seeing four generations in some families. Outside work, I spend time with my husband, children, and grandpuppies, travel, and reconnect with family in France. I’m delighted to return to Te Atatu and join this dynamic team.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in women’s health, including Mirena insertions. Debra is fluent in both English and Mandarin. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

After a period of living overseas she now calls Mt Eden home. She enjoys travelling, spending time with friends, family and a good coffee. She looks forward to getting to know patients from a wide range of backgrounds.

Availability: Tues (all day), Wed (all day), Thurs (all day), Fri (all day)I was born and raised in West Auckland and have spent my career serving this community as a general practitioner.
Since 1988, I have practiced in Hobsonville, providing long-term, one-to-one care to individuals and families. My particular interests include men’s health, older adults’ health, and complex paediatric conditions.

Location: Te Atatū Health & Hobsonville Health
Irene, from South Canterbury, trained as a nurse at Timaru Hospital before pursuing theological studies in Auckland. She spent 10 years in Peru working in health initiatives and youth ministry, gaining fluency in Spanish. Now back in New Zealand with her husband and two teenage sons, she enjoys practice nursing for its focus on preventative care and building long-term patient relationships. Outside work, she enjoys church, gardening, reading, baking, and swimming.

Born in Taranaki, Abbey grew up partly in Te Atatu Peninsula and is proud to serve the local community. A registered nurse since 2014, she has experience at Middlemore Hospital and busy Auckland GP clinics, providing care for patients of all ages. Outside work, she enjoys the outdoors, staying active, spending time with loved ones, and being involved in her church.

Nikki is a registered nurse with over six years of experience in hospitals and primary care. Originally from the Philippines, she moved to Auckland in 2014 and brings a unique perspective on healthcare in New Zealand. She enjoys providing compassionate, quality care to patients. Outside work, she spends time with family and friends, and loves hiking and exploring New Zealand’s outdoors.

Sylvan is an experienced nurse and qualified osteopath who enjoys working as part of our GP practice team. She’s passionate about lifelong learning and healthcare in all its forms. Alongside her clinical work, Sylvan teaches anatomy and physiology. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband, three teenagers, and one very large dog.
